Insurance Defense
A fair
and equitable decision concerning the distribution of Workers Compensation
benefits cannot be made without the proper investigative information.
A prompt and thorough investigation can yield the truth about a claimant’s
allegation, justifying the full payment of a valid claim or saving thousands
of dollars on fraudulent claims.
Using your requested User ID and Password, NBI’s secure online
case tracking system allows you access to your internal investigation
data such as reports, statements, activity, billing information, photographs
and video, right from your office computer.
AOE/COE
A thorough AOE/COE investigation is an essential
factor in properly evaluating a workplace injury. We
pursue the possibility of Subrogation whenever applicable and list any
contribution factors involved. We tailor our investigations to meet your
needs, whether it is a full AOE/COE, the claimant’s statement only,
or supervisor, co-worker and witness statements. Obtaining a signed medical
release from the claimant and copies of their personnel file is a standard
procedure and your office will be provided with regular updates as to
our handling. We maintain an awareness of dates to Accept/Deny and will
always complete our handling of matters with a report and attachments
to your office within 30 days or less.
SUBROSA
Approached as a multi-step process, we gather intelligence on the claimant
by equating their age, family dynamics, profession and employment history,
and studying the general layout of the claimant’s neighborhood and
surrounding area. Although it is a welcomed element, Subrosa is not about
being lucky. It is about knowing your subject and having a plan of action.
In gathering video evidence, we remain mindful of the thrust of our investigation
and identify and obtain whatever evidence is available to be used in adjudication.
NBI has a reputation for excellence in the acquisition of video in both content
and quality. Claimant video will be provided to you in standard VHS, Compact
Disc or DVD format based on your preference.
SUBROGATION
During our initial investigation, NBI attempts to ascertain whether the possibility
of third party liability exists. When a liable third party is identified,
information is collected on their business structure and liability carrier.
We offer a complete business intelligence analysis based on service and product
defect history to be utilized as evidence in pursuing compensation outside
of litigation or at trial.
